Exterior Painting in Yorkshire

We paint the outside of homes and commercial buildings across South & West Yorkshire, including masonry and render painting and exterior woodwork. Thorough preparation and breathable, weather-resistant masonry paints give a finish that protects as well as it looks. Every job is quoted after a free site visit.

What does exterior painting involve?

A fresh coat of paint transforms the outside of a property, but on exterior walls it is about more than looks. Good masonry paint helps shed rain, protects render and brickwork from the weather and keeps the building looking cared for. Poorly prepared paint, on the other hand, soon flakes, blisters and traps damp behind it.

Because our background is in pointing and masonry, we pay close attention to the wall underneath before any paint goes on. We check for loose or blown render, cracks and failed pointing, and put those right first. Surfaces are cleaned, any growth is treated, loose material is removed and suitable stabilising primers are applied where needed.

We use breathable, weather-resistant masonry paints for render and painted brickwork, so moisture can escape rather than building up behind the finish. Exterior woodwork such as fascias, window frames, doors and sills is sanded, filled and primed before top coats are applied for a smooth, durable result.

Exterior painting is often the final stage after rendering or masonry repairs, letting you complete the whole job with one team across Sheffield and the surrounding area.
